Statement
Miami-native Jean Clark said goodbye to Miami and hello to Montgomery in July of 2006 after retiring from thirty-five years of teaching English. In the 1970`s she started a fiber arts career with exhibitions in glleries, teaching macrame, and executing commissions for individuals, decorators and businesses. Notable is her room divider featured in Family Circle magazine for June 1974 and a set of six window coverings for the yacht Bountiful II in the August 1974 House & Garden. The fiber career continues in Montgomery with entries accepted for the 2010-11 Montgomery Art Guild shows at Regions Bank, the fine arts department of the Fair (where ”Deer Country” received an Honorable Mention), and the Museum of Fine Arts.
